Michael Iwu is a graduate of Electronics and Computer Engineering, Nnamdi Azikiwe Univeristy Awka. He has about 10 years experience in the Energy business. He was the lead engineer for the feasibility studies to establish a 600 MW Solar Farm and 100 MW Wind Farm in Cameroon. He is a professional member of International Solar Energy Society ISES and also a member of IEEE. He is passionate about Renewable Energy and has presented in several conferences on renewable energy within West Africa. Michael has worked as a Business Development Manager for more than 8 years in both Renewable Energy, Power and Oil and Gas industry.

He is currently the Manager, Business Development and Operations at AETI Power Systems & Controls, a Power engineering consulting firm. Before he joined them, he was the Business Development Manager of Benel Energy, an Oil & Gas servicing company. Michael developed his Interest in Renewable Energy when he worked for more than 5 years with PriVida Energy, a renewable energy company as their Business Development Manager.

Michael is known for his exceptional ability to develop businesses from scratch, create ideas and coordinate new concepts.

Chisom is a passionate Philanthropist, she has both her first degree and Masters degrees in Guardian and Counseling from Imo State University, Owerri. She is a member of Nigerian Institute of Management and she is currently a school teacher at Top scholars Schools Lagos.

She has strong passion for children and she is at the forefront of the Plant a Tree campaign in Primary and Secondary schools. She has about 10 years’ experience in helping Youths and Teenagers discover themselves.

Salaudeen bagged a master’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning from Benue State University, Makurdi, Nigeria. He is a Principal Research Fellow at the Plantation Establishment and Management Unit of the Sustainable Forest Management Department, Forestry Research Institute of Nigeria, Ibadan. Before this time, he has lectured in the department of Forestry Technology, Federal College of Forestry, Jos between 1999 to 2014 where he served in various capacities like the College Research Grant Sourcing Committee and as Seminar coordinator, examination officer, field trip coordinator amongst others.

Between 2014 and 2018, under the Forestry Research Institute of Nigeria he has served as Head of Research Outstations in Niger and Ondo States respectively. He has displayed unwavering professionalism and a great commitment to identifying and solving research-based challenges over the years.

His research activities centers but is not limited to Urban and Community Forestry, Biodiversity Studies, Green Infrastructure Planning and Management, Landscape design, planning, perception and preference with over 20 academic publications in reputable national and international journals. He has participated in the establishment of various urban and community forest projects across the country and has demonstrated how this can be used to manage conflict in places like Jos North Local Government area of Plateau State. Salaudeen is a registered member, Nigeria Institute of Town planners, Associate member of Landscape Architects of Nigeria and a certified cooperate sustainability manager.

Robo (Orobosa Igbu) is the project lead for the Sustainable Energy Finance (SEF) program in Nigeria, which is focused on off-grid solar market development and finance. He is part of IFC Climate Business- FIG Advisory Service team in Sub-Sahara Africa.

Robo holds an MBA from Brandeis University and a B.Sc degree in Agriculture from the University of Benin, including a Certified Expert in Climate & Renewable Energy Finance certificate from the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management. He has over sixteen professional experience in advisory services, business development & strategy, deal origination and execution, operations and technical assistance with global & local companies across investment management, banking, start-ups, consulting, FMCG and energy industries like Citibank, Nestle, PRAIL, etc.

Robo is climate finance and technology savvy; entrepreneurial and passionate about sustainable development and protecting the environment.

Simeon Ayoade Sunbola is an experienced Waste Management and Waste Recycling Expert, with core areas of specialty in electronic/mechanical waste.

He is the MD of S.A Sunbola Nig. Enterprises a Waste Management and Recycling company, which has been in the business of Waste Management and Recycling for more than 20 years.

He also has experience in the procurement and Supply of primary/secondary industrial raw materials, Solar and Wind Technology. 

Alh. Kabiru Audu has a B.Sc degree in Political Science from ABU Zaria in 1980 and an MBA in lnternational Business from Lagos State University.

He has worked in Bank of Credit and Commerce lnternational Limited in Kano after attending the Banking School in Pakistan.

Alh. Kabiru was also an lnvestment manager in Nigerian Shippers council. He also worked in the oil industry for several years. Infact he worked at a management position in Oando PLC.

Ajiferuke, Samson Owolabi, a Statistics practitioner, a civil servant with deep knowledge of data generation through analysis to dissemination. A member of Nigerian Statistical Association (a body of Statistician), also a seasoned Cooperative administrator, with unalloyed passion for environment.

Mr. Blessyn Okpowo was born on July 7, 1966 in Idheze Irri, Isoko South Local Government Area of Delta State. He trained at the University of Benin (1990) and Lagos State University (2001) respectively, where he obtained both his Bachelor of Arts (BA) and Masters Of Arts (MA) in International History and Diplomacy specializing in Conflict Resolution and Crisis Management. He practiced journalism at the Concord and Vanguard Newspapers for fourteen years rising to the position of Deputy Editor at the Weekend Vanguard. 

He left active journalism for the corporate world in 2004 when he joined oil giants, Addax Petroleum Development Nigeria Limited as Head of Public Relations. He rose to the position of Assistant General Manager in charge of Community Affairs before he moved over to Afren PLC as General Manager, Government Relations and Community Affairs in 2011. He has also served as Senior Manager, Community and Government Relations at First Hydrocarbon Nigeria Limited and Oriental Energy Resources Limited where he was responsible for overseeing the Community Affairs and Government Relations functions of both companies. He is a practicing Christian and married to Pastor (Mrs.) Florence Okpowo and their marriage is blessed with four children.
